MY ADVENTURE

GIVE ME MOUNTAINS, MY DOG & MY CAMERA

I am self taught and simple. The camera, Nikon D3600, was placed in my hands on Christmas of 2009. It was my first ever DSLR, after using a compact camera since elementary.

I started taking pictures of animals mainly, my dog, bunny and some of flowers.

I took two photography classes in High School, but mainly film, where we had to use the dark room and process photos the old school way. (I still have a film Olympus camera! ) Senior year, I was in yearbook, taking photos of events and designing pages for the book. I would say my love of the camera has followed me my whole life.

Out of high school, I began to do more with taking photos of others. I taught myself manual mode from YouTube, experimenting on my own and trial & error. Sneaking my camera into mini festivals, taking photos of my friends kids at birthday parties. Taking photos of their pets out and about. I tried 3 times to start my own business before this and remained scared.

But here I am now, determined and more ambitious than ever. I want to share my knowledge and creativity with others, photographers and clients alike. I am about community over competition. I’m not available on your day? I’ll direct you to some of my favorite photographers that I’m sure you’ll love. Have ideas or photos you want to recreate? Let’s do it and put our own spin on it. I believe everything and everyone is inspiring. I hope that I can inspire others some day, the way they have inspired me to go after this dream and now can share with YOU. My client, friend and biggest support of my business.
